Senior Accountant, Accounting

Comcast is a Fortune 50 leader in media and technology, seeking a Senior Accountant to join their Global Accounting Organization. This role will be responsible for accounting and analysis related to various Sales & Marketing and Xfinity Stores P&L accounts, supporting both HQ and Regional Business units.

Responsibilities

Perform accounting and analysis for various Sales & Marketing and Service Center accounts
Ensure that balance sheets are accurately stated and reconciled to the general ledger through preparation of account reconciliations. Researches variances, determines root causes, and makes recommendations for adjustments
Record monthly journal entry financial transactions, ensuring they have proper support/documentation to substantiate the entry
Review financial statements for operating trends and results, researching variances to forecast, budget prior month
Prepare financial reports, analyzing data for management review
Assists with the internal and external audit process as needed
Research complex accounting data, in order to comply with new accounting policy implementation
Research and develop automated Oracle routines such as Automation workflows. Knowledge of Power BI, Data Analyze 360 or other Workflow Automation tools encouraged
Research ways of streamlining and standardizing processes to support the Accounting function
Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with cross functional teams independently on Projects
Ability to work in a very fast paced learning environment
Researches contracts and regulations to determine proper calculations of payments to regulatory authorities
Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary

Required

Bachelor's Degree
5-7 Years of relevant work experience
