Responsibilities

Follow department SOPs, work instructions, and SkySafe and customer standards for all installation activities

Properly operate, maintain, and inspect equipment in accordance with established procedures

Visually inspect product quality, troubleshoot issues, and escalate concerns when necessary

Execute the full installation lifecycle, from initial setup through final inspection and troubleshooting

Clearly communicate instructions and operational expectations to team members and on-site partners

Perform periodic inspections to ensure quality standards are consistently met

Complete all required documentation and training in a timely manner

Assist in authoring, reviewing, and updating SOPs and work instructions as needed

Support R&D engineering products and field testing efforts as requested

Maintain a safe and clean work area, wear appropriate PPE, and adhere to all safety standards

Ensure safety guidelines are followed by all team members during installations

Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned installation areas or equipment

Complete system installations, including hardware assembly and RF connections, on masts, rooftops, towers, and other infrastructure

Perform rooftop and climbing work safely while following all applicable guidelines and procedures

Lift, haul, and position heavy equipment at installation sites

Create cable penetrations, pull cable, and troubleshoot electrical and network connections

Troubleshoot unexpected installation issues using creative problem-solving and effective communication with internal teams and external partners

Perform Part 107 drone operations in compliance with all FAA regulations

Represent SkySafe professionally and maintain strong working relationships with partner entities

Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Associate's degree or technical certification preferred

2+ years of experience in a technician or field technician role

Experience with outdoor electronics installation, such as telecommunications equipment, preferred

Ability to deliver high-quality results in a low-volume, high-precision environment

Strong ability to work effectively in a team environment

Ability to follow instructions, accept additional responsibilities, and continuously improve standard practices

Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and safety

Willingness to contribute wherever needed

Ability to work at heights and in varied outdoor environments

Strong organizational skills; schedule-oriented, dependable, and reliable

Willingness to travel 50–75% as required by deployments

Perform Part 107 drone operations in compliance with all FAA regulations

Preferred

Certifications or willingness to obtain certifications in MEWP, tower climbing, rigging, or related environments (SkySafe will fund required certifications)

Experience working with RF systems, networking equipment, or sensor-based technologies

Prior experience supporting R&D or pilot installations
