They are seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to manage accounting responsibilities, support month-end and year-end closes, and assist with financial statement preparation and analysis.

Responsibilities

Handle accounting responsibilities to support month-end and year-end closes

Research, prepare, and enter journal entries for multiple operating entities and partnerships

Prepare account analysis for multiple operating entities and partnerships

Assist with financial statement preparation and analysis

Prepare monthly and quarterly state and local filings/reporting as needed

Analyze, prepare and/or review bank account and inter-company account reconciliations

Daily, weekly, and monthly required reporting preparation and operational analysis for divisions and affiliated companies

Monthly sales and use tax and annual business privilege tax filings as required

Monthly/annual vehicle registration/licensing responsibilities for new and existing truck and equipment fleet

Audit and review information required from divisions/affiliates both on-site and at corporate headquarters to ensure requirements are met in an accurate and timely manner

Specialty billing and reporting responsibilities for operating entities

Communicate with division and corporate personnel to identify, implement, and improve processes and internal controls

Track insurance and workers’ compensation costs

Provide assistance as needed with annual audits

Maintain files and records as needed

Special projects and other job duties as assigned
