Responsibilities

Develop, validate, and apply analytical methods for the measurement of organic and inorganic contaminants

Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation including LC-MS/MS, DART-MS/MS, GC-MS, GC-FID, ICP-OES, and XRF

Design and optimize solvent extraction and solid-phase microextraction (SPME) methods

Quantify degradation products and assess contaminant destruction efficiency

Analyze and interpret complex datasets to support chemical and process optimization

Maintain rigorous documentation of methods, calibrations, and results

Prepare technical reports and clearly communicate findings to cross-functional teams

Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate analytical tools into automated and field-deployable systems

Support laboratory and field sampling campaigns

Assist in experimental design and troubleshooting related to analytical performance

Maintain a strong safety culture in laboratory and field operations

Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and waste disposal regulations

Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of QA/QC procedures

Required

Bachelor's in chemistry, analytical chemistry, or a related field plus 5+ years of hands-on experience in analytical chemistry roles or a Master's in chemistry, analytical chemistry, or a related field plus 1+ years of hands-on experience in analytical chemistry roles

Demonstrated expertise with GC- or LC-MS methods, including sample prep

Strong data analysis skills using tools such as Python, R, or Excel

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
