Director of Partnership Development
1st Fruits Consulting, Inc. is seeking a high-performing Director of Partnership Development to drive new business growth within the U.S. higher education market. This remote role focuses on lead generation and pipeline development through outbound prospecting and relationship-building with prospective college and university partners.
Responsibilities
Generate 4–6 new Sales Accepted Leads (SALs) per week through high-volume outbound calling and targeted outreach
Conduct 10–15 outbound calls per day (50–75 per week) to colleges and universities
Work all Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) and SALs to qualify interest and convert them into Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs)
Consistently drive first engagements with new prospects through phone, email, and personalized outreach
Build and manage relationships with stakeholders across enrollment, marketing, academic affairs, faculty, procurement, and finance
Use value-based, consultative selling techniques to uncover institutional needs and priorities
Maintain accurate, real-time CRM data to support forecasting, reporting, and pipeline visibility
Expand and manage a growing prospect database within HubSpot
Track outreach activity, opportunities, and progress toward monthly and quarterly targets
Research colleges and universities to improve outreach effectiveness
Leverage social media and industry tools to identify and engage decision-makers
Develop deep knowledge of admissions, enrollment marketing, and managed services offerings
Transition qualified opportunities to the VP of Partnership Development for further development and close
Partner cross-functionally to support company-wide growth objectives
Contribute to continuous improvement of sales processes and outreach strategies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
5+ years of higher education sales or business development experience with a proven track record of new business generation
Demonstrated success in cold calling, outbound prospecting, and pipeline creation
Strong consultative selling and discovery skills
Preferred
Master's degree
Experience with higher education marketing agencies or OPM environments
Experience selling into higher education, nonprofit, or government organizations
