Responsibilities

In this role, you contribute to the overall mechanical design for high profile product development efforts. This key engineer will be adept at hands-on mechanical design, as well as working collaboratively with and guiding efforts of internal and external partners

Lead overall system mechanical design, including personally implementing and delivering detailed CAD of the primary architectural elements

Lead interactions with industrial design team

Manage the detailed product design and validation with engineering and manufacturing partners

Anticipate and respond to challenges in manufacturing

Required

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field, or equivalent work experience

10+ years of experience leading mechanical design for small consumer products

Demonstrated experience in designing detailed parts for a wide variety of manufacturing methods, such as injection molding, sheet metal stamping, and CNC fabrication

Demonstrated experience in applying knowledge of various materials and their properties for specific product features & requirements

Demonstrated experience in DFM, DFA, tolerance analysis techniques, and creating 2D drawings

Demonstrated experience in reliability testing & analysis

Exceptional CAD proficiency (SolidWorks preferred)

Experience in the video game industry is not required, but interest and passion for gaming experience, digital entertainment, consumer electronics, and technology is vital
