Ryder Supply Chain Solutions is seeking a Dedicated SOLO Yard Truck Driver in Houston, TX. The role involves safely handling and maneuvering tractor trailers on the yard while ensuring compliance with safety and DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

Primarily responsible for safely handling and maneuvering tractor trailers on the yard, but cannot drive on public roads

The position requires compliance with safety & DOT Regulations, continuous training and customer service

Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines

Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards

Maintaining accurate records and logs

Maintaining accurate move and yard inventory records

Other tasks as assigned

Qualification

Required

Minimum 21 years of age

Must have verifiable driving experience in 'like' equipment: 9 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years' experience within the last 10 years

Pass a Ryder Drug Test

Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years

Pass a DOT physical

Pass a Yard Driver Examination

Must have a valid driver's license

Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions

Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
