ANALYST II
The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) is the backbone of California’s health care safety net. The Analyst II acts as the primary contact between DHCS and county Behavioral Health Delivery Systems, evaluating and monitoring compliance with state and federal requirements for Behavioral Health programs.

Responsibilities
Acts as the primary contact between the DHCS and county Behavioral Health Delivery Systems
Evaluates and monitors counties implementing Behavioral Health Services Act programs and other Behavioral Health programs to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements, including statute, regulations, contract terms, policy information notices, and grant applications
Provides technical assistance and guidance about actions required to bring counties into compliance and ensure resolution of corrective action plans
Collects, tracks, analyzes, and validates reporting submissions from counties
Maintains communication with assigned counties
Provides program assistance through regular meetings with counties, webinars, and other trainings
Makes recommendations to DHCS leadership on enforcement activities, including administrative and monetary sanctions
Develops and maintains excellent interpersonal relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate all functions associated with Behavioral Health program oversight and monitoring
Collaborates with other teams and divisions within DHCS to advance the strategic goals of DHCS
Represents DHCS in a professional and service-oriented manner
Travels statewide, including overnight, of up to 5% of the time, by airplane, train, automobile, and other transportation methods as required
Qualification
Required

Travel required 5% of the time. Position may require overnight travel
