Responsibilities
Prepare and review individual (1040) and small business (1120, 1120-S, 1065) tax returns
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
Collect, organize, and verify client financial documents
Communicate with clients to gather missing information and explain tax return results
Maintain strict confidentiality and protect sensitive client information
Stay updated on current tax laws and IRS regulations relevant to the season
Qualification
Required
Prior experience preparing tax returns (individual and/or business)
Proficiency with tax preparation software (e.g., Intuit ProConnect, Drake, Lacerte, or similar)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and a client-service mindset
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
