Responsibilities

Collaborate with our Epigenetic Editing team to perform large-scale, single cell perturbation experiments
Perform state-of-the-art single cell profiling experiments to map epigenetic features of aging
Implement, operate, and maintain laboratory automation protocols for molecular biology and next-generation sequencing (NGS) experiments
Contribute to experimental sample preparation (e.g., animal dissections, tissue harvesting, primary cell culture) and execution of molecular and cellular assays

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in cell biology, molecular biology, engineering or a related natural science field
2+ years of work experience in molecular biology laboratory techniques and their automation (academic or industry)
Experience with liquid handling systems for automating molecular biology, NGS and/or cell culture protocols
Experience with NGS protocols & workflows (e.g., nucleic acid extraction, PCR, library construction and QC) and/or sample preparation for genomic applications including tissue isolation, dissociation, and cell culture

Preferred

Proficiency in programming, optimizing, and troubleshooting Hamilton liquid handlers using VENUS software
Experience with single cell genomics methods
Experience with flow cytometry sorting for single-cell preparations
Experience with molecular cloning
