Customer Service Representative

Responsibilities
Customer order management (customer contact, timely order entry and processing, order confirmation, price maintenance, availability check of material), perform customer master data requests and maintenance within the LANXESS systems. Process customer inquiries regarding order status, shipment timing, etc
Assist Marketing and Sales with receivables and credit limit requests, Support sales (as requested) with maintenance of forecast
Identification of customer requirements and proactively suggest solutions, Responsible for receiving customer complaints and facilitating resolutions
Constant review of inventory and replenishment planning with Production Planner and track order status (internal / external), delivery time, and invoicing
Work in conjunction with third party logistics providers to troubleshoot any shipping problems as they occur. Work in conjunction with third party warehouse providers on any order fulfillment questions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain or equivalent business or industry experience will be considered
Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience
Proficient working knowledge of SAP (or similar ERP) in a manufacturing environment
The position requires strong organizational, communication and time management skills
Excellent problem solving, persuasion, negotiation and conflict resolution skills are critical
Ability to quickly grasp general business and market information as well as related technical information regarding LANXESS products to serve as a department resource
Preferred
Functional knowledge of MS Excel and Power Point to provide support to the Regional Manager/sales team/customer is desirable
International logistics operations experience and knowledge of export compliance regulations are a plus
