Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end design, development, testing, and deployment of Android applications, primarily focusing on customer-facing platforms and support projects
Architect scalable, resilient, and high-performance solutions using Kotlin and modern Android frameworks
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient Swift code; lead by example in code reviews and set high standards for the team
Drive key technical decisions and advocate for best practices in iOS software engineering, including system design, security, and observability
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the entire iOS stack, including integration with backend services and third-party APIs
Directly manage, mentor, and grow a team of 3-5 iOS engineers, fostering their career development and technical skills
Facilitate agile/scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) to ensure the team is productive, focused, and delivering value iteratively
Collaborate with the Engineering Manager on resource allocation, performance management, and hiring
Create a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages innovation and knowledge sharing
Partner closely with Product Managers, Designers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and manage expectations
Provide realistic effort estimates, identify risks, and communicate project status and technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
Contribute to the strategic technology roadmap for your domain, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
10+ years of professional software development experience with a strong background in Android-Kotlin development
Proven expertise in Android frameworks
Deep experience with cloud platforms (Firebase, AWS, or Azure) and modern infrastructure-as-code practices
Solid understanding of database design, Core Data, and mobile data management
Experience with Agile methodologies and a track record of delivering projects on time
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
