Argo Recruiting is seeking an Accounting & Finance Consultant for their Miami office. The role involves advising clients on complex accounting matters and leading various financial engagements while collaborating closely with executive teams.

Responsibilities

Act as a trusted advisor to clients on complex accounting and financial reporting matters
Lead and support engagements including month-end close optimization, financial statement preparation, and technical accounting under U.S. GAAP
Research, interpret, and implement new accounting standards (ASC 606, 842, 805, etc.)
Support M&A and transaction-related activities, including due diligence, integrations, carve-outs, and purchase accounting
Assist clients in strengthening internal controls, streamlining processes, and improving financial operations
Partner closely with CFOs, Controllers, and FP&A leaders to deliver high-impact solutions
Manage multiple client engagements while maintaining Big 4–level quality and professionalism
Manager level: coach and review team members, oversee engagement delivery, and contribute to practice growth and client development

Qualification

CPAU.S. GAAPPublic accounting experienceFinancial reportingClient communicationProject management

Required

3–6+ years of public accounting experience at a Big 4 firm (or equivalent national firm)
Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements
Strong project management and client communication skills
Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with multiple stakeholders

Preferred

Big 4 public accounting preferred
CPA preferred
Experience in Audit, Accounting Advisory, or Technical Accounting groups strongly preferred
Master's a plus
CPA preferred (or actively pursuing)
