Responsibilities
Structural design codes including AASHTO LRFD and AASHTO LRFR
Structure design software including MIDAS
Familiarity with providing services to NHDOT and/or VTrans
Ability to mentor and develop staff
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work within fast-paced, team-oriented workplace
Completing and checking complex engineering calculations, plans, specifications, and estimates for the designs of concrete and precast decks, steel and concrete superstructures, integral and semi-integral abutments, wingwalls, culverts and retaining walls
Management of technical tasks and relevant staff
Provide operational and project management support to the bridge lead
Provide technical development of a variety of bridge projects of various sizes and designs
Prepare conceptual, preliminary, and final design documents
Oversee work, quality control, client coordination and all daily technical aspects of projects assigned to you
Qualification
Required
8 plus years of experience in Bridge Engineering
BS/MS in Civil Engineering
Demonstrated technical experience
Micro-station and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D experience
Working knowledge of AASHTO Design Guidelines
Preferred
PE License preferred
