Social Media & Email Specialist - Overland Expo
Emerald is seeking a Social Media & Email Specialist to create and manage organic, paid and sponsored content, develop strategies to grow social and email audience, and increase engagement. The role involves managing branded content across various digital channels and fostering community engagement while collaborating with the marketing team on digital marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities
Curate a regular cadence of organic content for social channel distribution across all social channels
Create and edit graphics, photography, videos, reels, and other content
Track and evaluate engagement to inform future campaigns and strategies
Manage a daily cadence of social media posts on Instagram, Facebook, and weekly on LinkedIn developing new strategies to increase interaction
Correspond and engage with community members who inquire about our events via social media (comments & DMs)
Collaborate with Marketing team members, Director, and Editors to develop comprehensive digital content and social media strategies for advertisers and sponsors of custom content
Collaborate with Marketing to develop social campaigns designed to drive audiences to attend events
Oversee and manage paid search & social marketing strategies including Instagram & Facebook + Google AdWords and YouTube campaigns collaborating with a digital marketing agency
Leverage current branding and positioning to communicate with a unique voice for the brand’s network– always seeking to keep content fresh, unique and engaging
Work with the graphic design team to create, post and edit social content including banners, text, links, graphics, video, audio, and asset libraries
Conceive new content ideas for the brand, based on emerging technologies and trends
Define KPIs by social channel and devise strategies to meet established goals
Create new methods to engage with brand audiences and develop lead generation campaigns to drive new follows
Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network of brand advocates and develop a social media influencer program
Coordinate with all necessary stakeholders to meet sponsor requirements and campaign deadlines
Conduct research into new strategies and trends to increase the effectiveness of campaigns and to make new inventory idea recommendations
Manage outside photo and video creators at events and develop shot lists for all event content
Provide reporting to sales on advertiser campaigns
Curate e-newsletters, working with editorial, marketing and sales teams
Manage a calendar of and curate content for client/sales driven email campaigns, attendee email marketing campaigns leading into each event, and other email campaigns as assigned, working with the editorial, sales and marketing teams
Develop and execute marketing automation campaigns to drive event attendance and add-on purchases by attendees and clients
Track and evaluate engagement to inform future campaigns and strategies
Leverage current branding and positioning to communicate with a unique voice for the brand’s network – always seeking to keep content fresh unique and engaging
Create graphics and videos using tools like Canva – and work with the graphic design team to create email content including custom headers, banners, text, links, graphics, video, audio, and asset libraries
Conceive new products and develop email subscriptions lead gen campaigns based on existing and emerging technologies and trends
Create new methods to engage with brand audiences using email marketing
Develop lead generation campaigns to drive new e-mail subscriptions
Coordinate with all necessary stakeholders to meet sponsor requirements and campaign deadlines
Conduct research into new strategies and trends to increase the effectiveness of campaigns and to make new inventory idea recommendations
Provide reporting to sales on advertiser campaigns
Request, track, and manage all sponsored digital content asset deliverables (social, email, sponsored editorial, etc), and maintain content calendars and asset trackers - collaborating with team to guarantee fulfillment
Qualification
Required
3+ years marketing experience required, specific to social media, email marketing, and paid search + social digital marketing management (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, GoogleAds)
Copywriting experience with samples of recent work
Experience with email and social media tools such as HubSpot, Canva, etc
Strong iPhone photography and videography skills; graphic design skills
Strong project management, writing and reporting skills
Takes initiative and demonstrates flexibility in time and attitude to get the job done
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Proactively applies best practices from other assignments that improve process or performance
Handles immediate requests for information providing utmost level of customer service and information
Administrative responsibilities such as processing invoices, budget reconciliation, customer service, and other duties
