Responsibilities
Conduct environmental testing of components, assemblies, and systems, including vibration, shock, temperature, humidity, EMI/EMC, salt fog, and related tests (as applicable to lab capabilities)
Set up test fixtures, instrumentation, sensors, and data acquisition systems
Operate environmental chambers, vibration tables, and associated laboratory equipment
Monitor tests in progress, document results, and flag anomalies or deviations
Perform calibration checks and routine maintenance of lab equipment in accordance with established procedures
Support development and review of test plans, procedures, and reports
Maintain accurate test logs, data sheets, and configuration records
Ensure all testing is conducted safely and in accordance with laboratory and DoD standards
Assist engineers, technicians, and program personnel with test execution and troubleshooting activities
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
A minimum of ten (10) years experience
Experience working in a technical, laboratory, or test environment
Ability to read and interpret technical data, schematics, and procedures
Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills in tool usage and equipment setup
Proficiency with basic measurement instruments (multimeters, sensors, gauges, etc.)
Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately document test results
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
This position may require standing for extended periods, lifting equipment, and working with test systems involving vibration, thermal, and other environmental conditions
Preferred
Understanding of environmental test methods (MIL-STD-810 or similar preferred)
Prior experience in DoD or government laboratory environments
An Active Secret Security Clearance is preferred
Familiarity with data acquisition systems and instrumentation
