Responsibilities
Gather, review, and analyze data and records from multiple systems, including Excel, SAP, and ArcGIS
Merge, reconcile, and validate datasets to identify potential projects and confirm scope accuracy
Investigate conflicting or incomplete data by reviewing archived records and PDF documentation as needed
Analyze data trends and summarize findings into clear, actionable recommendations
Utilize Excel extensively to combine and analyze data sets (pivot tables, lookups, conditional logic, formatting)
Support data validation related to geographic information, maps, and location-based datasets
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to clarify data requirements and resolve discrepancies
Qualification
Required
4–7 years of experience in data analysis, project analysis, or a related analytical role
Advanced Excel proficiency, including: Pivot tables, Lookup formulas (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP or equivalent), Conditional statements and conditional formatting
Demonstrated experience combining and analyzing datasets (not manual matching)
Strong attention to detail with the ability to validate data accuracy across systems
Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and communicate findings clearly
Preferred
Experience using Power Query
Working knowledge of SAP
Basic SQL experience (used occasionally; not required)
Familiarity with ArcGIS or other mapping tools
Knowledge of the Puget Sound area and ability to interpret geographic data
Exposure to gas utility operations or utility industry data
