Responsibilities

Review each loan file to verify that documents are present, accurate, and complete before underwriting

Manage loan process through mortgage software system

Order property and loan documentation such as appraisals, inspections, title searches, site surveys, contracts, and property tax records to help process mortgage loan files

Ensure that loan rules, obligations, and deadlines are met

Audit and prepare quality files that meet closing objectives

Obtain mortgage loan documentation for clients

Required

High school diploma or GED required

Industry experience required

Strong oral and written communication skills

Knowledge of valid documentation related to the processing consumer mortgage applications (e.g., tax returns, financial statements, and records, verification of income and deposits, etc.)

Sound judgment, ability to think critically, including the ability to evaluate facts and data to draw conclusions

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline‐driven environment; strong sense of urgency and responsiveness

Knowledge of federal, state, and regulatory requirements related to consumer mortgage lending, processes and controls
