Provides administrative, operational, and analytical coordination to ensure the efficient delivery of high-quality services to students, faculty, staff, and the broader campus community
Performs a wide range of administrative, fiscal, and data management duties requiring independent judgment, critical thinking, and thorough knowledge of university policies and procedures
Responsible for coordinating daily office operations
Maintaining confidential records
Monitoring fiscal processes
Assisting with programmatic planning and assessment
Qualification
Required
Three years of full-time office experience
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook) and experience with database systems
Must possess fundamental written and oral communication skills, including a sound foundation in English grammar, spelling, and punctuation
Good typing and keyboard skills
Demonstrated ability to independently coordinate complex administrative operations in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple tasks and projects with attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to understand standard office procedures
Ability to operate standard office equipment
Ability to learn office technology systems
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive personnel and student information
Demonstrated interest and/or ability in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment
A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU
California State University, Los Angeles requires all employees upon date of hire to reside in the State of California
Preferred
Experience in a higher education setting, particularly within student services, disability services, or administrative operations
Familiarity with CSU administrative and fiscal systems, policies, and procedures
Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing accessibility, disability accommodations, and student privacy (e.g., ADA, Section 504, FERPA)
