Responsibilities

Analyze, design, develop, test, debug, document, and implement customer requirements using Contentful CMS, Java, GraphQL

Lead the development of scalable and maintainable web applications using Headless CMS architecture

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement innovative solutions

Ensure high performance and responsiveness of applications

Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review

Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers

Required

Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Plano, TX be willing to relocate to the area

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution

Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education

More than 7 years of IT experience, including at least 4 years of experience with Headless CMS platforms, particularly Contentful, and strong Java development experience

Proven experience in Contentful CMS, including content modeling, API integration, and extension development

Good experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining content models, schemas, and APIs within the Contentful CMS

Experience in integrating Contentful with various frontend frameworks like Next.js/ReactJS/Angular and backend systems

Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture

Proficient in GraphQL and RESTful API design and integration

Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Docker

Strong understanding of cloud platforms (preferably GCP) and serverless architecture

Experience with Agile methodologies and working in a global delivery environment

Ability to mentor and guide developers, and work independently with clients

Excellent analytical and communication skills
