Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a Unified Communications Administrator to join their team. The role involves operating and maintaining the organization's voice and communications infrastructure, ensuring reliability and performance of phones throughout the enterprise.

Responsibilities

Oversee and support daily administration of the organization’s phone environment

Maintain physical components of voice systems, including cables, switches, routers, and other network devices

Implement networking and telecommunication infrastructure, and support network equipment such as routers, switches, circuits, servers, racks, and other relevant hardware

Maintain hardware and software such as servers (physical and virtual), virtualization platforms, VOIP phones, and other relevant hardware and software

Monitor and test voice performance, prepare reports, and troubleshoot performance issues

Configure Unified Communications devices according to appropriate security standards, monitor security measures, and resolve security issues as necessary

Manage licenses for servers and software

Ensure all phone hardware is patched and updated, coordinating maintenance and downtime as necessary

Support help desk staff with tickets related to Unified Communications issues

Perform other duties as assigned by the organization

Required

Experience in operating and maintaining voice and communications infrastructure

Knowledge of voice routers, switches, skills-based call routing, and associated hardware and software

Ability to monitor system performance and conduct testing

Skills in identifying root causes of performance issues

Experience in collecting data to promote maximum security and reliability

Ability to oversee and support daily administration of the organization's phone environment

Experience in maintaining physical components of voice systems, including cables, switches, routers, and other network devices

Knowledge of implementing networking and telecommunication infrastructure

Experience in supporting network equipment such as routers, switches, circuits, servers, racks, and other relevant hardware
