Cityscape Recruitment USA is working with a commercial general contractor based in Greenville, SC, seeking a Lead Estimator / Preconstruction Manager to oversee their preconstruction function. This key leadership role involves shaping processes, influencing strategy, and building a preconstruction team while managing all estimating efforts for commercial projects.

Responsibilities

Lead all preconstruction and estimating efforts from conceptual budgeting through GMP and final pricing
Prepare detailed estimates for ground-up commercial projects up to $50M
Manage subcontractor outreach, bid leveling, and scope reviews
Collaborate closely with operations, project management, and ownership during preconstruction
Utilize Procore and other estimating tools to manage budgets, scopes, and documentation
Participate in value engineering and cost-saving initiatives
Develop and refine preconstruction processes and standards
Over time, hire, mentor, and lead a growing preconstruction team

Required

5+ years estimating experience with a commercial general contractor
Proven ground-up commercial estimating experience
Strong Procore, on-screen takeoff, and Excel experience required
Familiarity with regional subcontractors and vendors in SC and NC
Stable work history
Detail-oriented, organized, and collaborative
Long-term mindset with interest in leadership growth

Preferred

Experience with Construction Management at Risk (CMAR) delivery is a plus
