Pura Vida Miami is a lifestyle brand focused on providing wholesome food and beverage items. They are seeking a detail-oriented IT Specialist for Menu Management to oversee the Toast POS environment, ensuring accurate digital menus and seamless integration with culinary operations.

Responsibilities

Toast System Administration: Execute all back-end configurations in Toast, including menu item creation, modifier nesting, pricing schedules, and tax rule application

Database Integrity: Maintain the “golden record” for menu data, ensuring naming conventions and SKUs are consistent across all locations for clean reporting in our BI tools

Deployment & Updates: Manage the publishing cycle for menu changes, coordinating with site managers to ensure updates don’t disrupt live service

Integration Support: Monitor and troubleshoot the data flow between Toast and our Property Management System (PMS), third-party delivery aggregator (Otter/Deliverect), and inventory software (xtraCHEF)

Hardware Setup & Troubleshooting: Remotely configure and stage Toast hardware (Flex, Go 2, KDS, and Kitchen Printers) and provide Tier 2 technical support for on-site hardware failures

Discount & Loyalty Execution: Build and test complex promotional logic, including “Happy Hour” triggers, promo codes, and loyalty reward redemption flows

Documentation: Create and update how-to guides for restaurant staff on basic Toast functions, such as 86ing items, re-routing printers, and performing end-of-day closures

UAT Testing: Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for every menu launch to ensure that Kitchen Display System (KDS) routing and guest receipts are functioning exactly as intended
