Human Resources Business Partner
Hounen Solar America Inc. is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support manufacturing leadership at their solar module production facility in Orangeburg and Summerville. The HRBP will provide hands-on HR support across employee relations, workforce planning, compliance, performance management, and talent development in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Responsibilities
Partner with plant and operations leadership to support workforce planning, employee engagement, and performance initiatives
Advise leaders on employee relations, corrective action, policy interpretation, and risk mitigation
Support organizational change initiatives tied to rapid growth and facility expansion
Manage employee relations issues, including investigations, corrective actions, and conflict resolution
Coach leaders on consistent policy application, progressive discipline, and proper documentation
Support performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and improvement plans
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, OSHA, etc.)
Partner with safety and operations teams on workplace incidents, workers’ compensation, and return-to-work programs
Maintain accurate employee records and audit readiness
Partner with Talent Acquisition on hiring needs, interview processes, and onboarding
Support retention strategies for both hourly and salaried employees
Participate in succession planning and leadership development initiatives
Utilize HRIS systems (ADP Workforce Now preferred) to manage employee data, reporting, and metrics
Analyze HR trends such as turnover, absenteeism, and engagement to provide data-driven insights to leadership
Support annual processes including merit increases, headcount planning, visa management, and audits
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field OR 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with direct support of a manufacturing or industrial workforce
Bilingual fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese (written and spoken) – required
Strong working knowledge of employment law and employee relations
Experience supporting hourly, non-exempt populations in a production environment
Proficiency with HRIS systems (ADP Workforce Now preferred)
Strong communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills
Ability to build trust across cultural backgrounds
Preferred
HRBP experience in multi-shift or multi-site manufacturing environments
Experience supporting expatriate employees and visa processes (H-1B, L-1, etc.)
SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification
Previous work in solar, renewable energy, or high-tech manufacturing
