Director, HR

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems is a global leader in munitions and tactical systems. The Director of HR will design, implement, and monitor various human resource programs while leading and managing HR operations to support the company's objectives.

Responsibilities

Plans and oversees human resources functional operations, including talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, safety, and compliance
Administers human resources programs and policies to reflect the organization's mission and values, support company goals, achieve objectives, and positively engage the workforce
Maintains broad and current subject matter knowledge and expertise in federal and state employment laws to advise leadership with solutions for human resources issues and evolving organizational needs
Leads and directs the work of other managers and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination with concurrence from HR & General Managers

Required

Associate's Degree and 8-10 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience

Discipline/Major: Human Resources, Business or related degree preferred
Additional certifications: SHRM-SCP or SPHR preferred
