Responsibilities
Prepare detailed designs for HVAC, steam, and industrial process piping projects
Perform HVAC and piping system load calculation
Equipment selection
Ductwork and pipe sizing
Control sequence creation
Specification development
Provide information to our estimating team relative to bid packages
Provide engineering input into the operation plans for system commissioning and start-up
Play a lead role in customer interactions and site visits to understand building usage and internal processes
Create systems which meet the needs of each facility
Create all documents for submission & permitting
Interact with field teams to ensure designs are installed and commissioned successfully
Manage multiple concurrent projects
Provide assistance to Ahern’s regional offices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
4+ years of experience in HVAC systems
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
Strong understanding of the mechanical codes and industry standards
Preferred
Wisconsin professional engineer's or designer of engineering systems license
Proficiency in AutoCAD
Proficiency in Revit MEP
Proficiency in load calculation software
