Responsibilities
Understand technical specifications that are written by ABAP developer on ABAP programs in ECC and S/4HANA systems
Analyze technical specifications that are written to reverse engineer the custom Z-tables across modules (FI, MM, SD, HR, etc.)
Collaborate with functional teams to understand business logic and data dependencies
Prepare comprehensive technical documentation including:
Data extraction logic
Field-level mappings
Business rule interpretation
Source-to-target lineage
Responsible to review the technical specification document and ask the right clarifications such that data engineers could then use the technical specification to develop data lake ETL routines

Core ABAP (ECC & S/4HANA) experience to review and validate technical specifications: Classical & OO ABAP programming experience
Core ABAP (ECC & S/4HANA) experience to review and validate technical specifications: ALV Reports (Classical and OO)
Core ABAP (ECC & S/4HANA) experience to review and validate technical specifications: BDC, BAPI, RFC, SmartForms, Adobe Forms
Core ABAP (ECC & S/4HANA) experience to review and validate technical specifications: User Exits, Customer Exits, BADIs
Core ABAP (ECC & S/4HANA) experience to review and validate technical specifications: Function Modules, Modularization, Macros
Advanced ABAP (S/4HANA-centric) experience to review and validate technical specifications: CDS Views (Basic & Composite)
Advanced ABAP (S/4HANA-centric) experience to review and validate technical specifications: AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures)
Advanced ABAP (S/4HANA-centric) experience to review and validate technical specifications: OData Services and Fiori integration
Advanced ABAP (S/4HANA-centric) experience to review and validate technical specifications: ABAP RESTful Programming Model (RAP)
Advanced ABAP (S/4HANA-centric) experience to review and validate technical specifications: Core Data Services annotations
Advanced ABAP (S/4HANA-centric) experience to review and validate technical specifications: Business Object Processing Framework (BOPF)
Data Handling & Extraction experience to review and validate technical specifications: Z-table extraction with joins, filters, delta logic
Data Handling & Extraction experience to review and validate technical specifications: Performance tuning of SELECT statements
Data Handling & Extraction experience to review and validate technical specifications: Open SQL and Native SQL usage
Data Handling & Extraction experience to review and validate technical specifications: Data dictionary object creation (Z tables, views, domains, data elements)
Data Handling & Extraction experience to review and validate technical specifications: Handling clustered and pooled tables (ECC legacy)
Data Handling & Extraction experience to review and validate technical specifications: Documentation & Technical Design
Technical Specification Document (TSD) preparation, review and validation: Field-level mapping and source-to-target lineage
Technical Specification Document (TSD) preparation, review and validation: Business logic annotation and transformation rules
Technical Specification Document (TSD) preparation, review and validation: Functional-to-technical traceability
Preferred
8-10 years of SAP ABAP experience with at least 3 years in S/4HANA
Experience in ECC to S/4HANA development & migration projects
Good understanding of FI, CO, SD, MM, PP & SRM processes and modules
Exposure to BI/ BW is an added advantage
