Responsibilities

Creates and manages the production budget for both live stage shows and film units
Tracks costs, reviews and validates vendor and crew rates with Finance and Procurement
Tracks and reports spending to the leads
Develops detailed pre-production and production schedules
Coordinates with department heads to ensure resources and people are available when needed
Coordinates equipment rentals and crewing
Leads on production drawings and plans
Secures permits and insurance
Oversees trucking and crew travel
Assists in the management of crew members
Handles timesheets, call sheets, and daily production reports
Ensures safety and compliance with Environmental Health and Safety and other appropriate guidelines
Serves as a central point-of-contact between leads, cross-functional partners, vendors, and crew
Communicates between departments to ensure alignment
Translates creative needs into actionable plans
Keeps everyone updated on daily progress and issues
Sees around corners and manage risks or last-minute issues
Able to independently run smaller, adjunct production units, as needed

Required

5+ years experience as a Production Manager or similar in broadcast events and/or the filming production space, coordinating projects and processes across cross-functional teams
Experience in production logistics, crewing, budgeting, and scheduling

Preferred

Outstanding process management, planning, and organizational skills
Excels in efficient communication, collaboration, and coordination of plans to a wide variety of production teams, departments, and partners
Experience tracking budgets and finances with production and production vendors
Proficiency in Production Budget Tools - Movie Magic Budgeting, Cinapse, Numbers, Excel, etc
Proficiency in computer drafting software for production drawings, diagrams, etc
Ability to process and distill fast-paced scenarios to effectively troubleshoot and tackle production-related problems
Passionate about driving numerous, multi-step production workflows without compromising quality
Flexible and prepared for pivots to the schedule, including last-minute adjustments and working early mornings, evenings and/or weekends
