Responsibilities
Own new maintenance prospects, from new client intake through agreement execution
Qualify prospects based on site condition, expectations, and budget alignment
Lead growth of the maintenance portfolio from ~50 to ~100 right-fit clients over time
Drive sales within existing accounts, including renewals, enhancements, and scope expansions
Partner with Design when prospects are better suited for design/build before maintenance
Own creation and day-to-day management of all maintenance, enhancement, and build work tickets
Build and adjust schedules to align with contracted services, horticultural timing, and capacity
Issue, prioritize, and update work tickets to prevent conflicts and service failures
Resolve routine scheduling issues directly
Escalate capacity constraints and exceptions to the Director of Field Operations
Serve as the primary, visible point of contact for assigned maintenance clients
Conduct regular site visits and proactively identify issues and opportunities
Set clear expectations around scope, timing, and seasonal variability
Build trust through presence, follow-through, and expertise
Apply and reinforce contemporary horticultural best practices
Ensure pruning is executed correctly and intentionally, including:
Espalier training
Aesthetic pruning
Strategic thinning
Cloud pruning
Intervene when work does not meet NWLD standards
Work within NWLD’s horticultural service calendar
Interpret and steward maintenance agreements
Clearly distinguish maintenance vs enhancements vs design/build
Estimate maintenance agreements and enhancements in Aspire
Collaborate with estimating support as needed
Qualification
Required
5–8+ years in landscape maintenance and/or horticulture
Strong plant care expertise
Comfort selling services through site-based expertise
Experience with high-end residential clients
Aspire experience or ability to learn technology quickly
