Facilities Engineering Manager
C&W Services is a leading provider of facility services, and they are seeking a Facilities Engineering Manager to oversee maintenance workflows and ensure reliable facility operations. The role includes performing mechanical troubleshooting, maintaining client relationships, and supporting financial stewardship through budget oversight and cost control.

Responsibilities
Provide leadership and motivation by communicating core values and fostering a fair, positive work environment
Set goals, performance metrics, and measurement processes. Coordinate annual performance objectives and assist in developing tracking tools
Maintain accurate site documentation for all assets, including property information books, as-built drawings, review documents, operating manuals, and emergency manuals
Schedule work and preventive maintenance during inactive periods or planned downtime to minimize operational disruptions
Schedule maintenance activities, working closely with management to ensure proper planning and coordination
Ensure engineers have required uniforms and tools
Conduct monthly reviews of preventive maintenance cycles to improve efficiency and response
Manage Building Engines / Plant Log programs and monitor productivity through service call and PM reporting
Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with operations programs, safety training, loss prevention, hazardous materials, OSHA requirements, water treatment, and record keeping
Facilitate and monitor safety training to maintain compliance with company requirements
Regularly inspect MEP equipment, rooms, and work areas to ensure cleanliness and safety; produce monthly condition reports
Ensure machinery inspections and personnel licensing requirements (MA DPS and/or Insurance Underwriter) remain current
Direct, prioritize, coach, coordinate, and evaluate employees
Develop employee goals to support skill advancement
Monitor contracted maintenance, repair, and construction activities for adherence to building policies; report deficiencies to the Senior Engineering Manager
Review shift schedules to ensure coverage during vacations and holidays
Assist with technical training for less-experienced staff
Pursue employee development initiatives recommended by the Senior Engineering Manager or client
Demonstrate sound decision-making, communicate rationale, involve appropriate stakeholders, and act promptly
Serve as the primary day-to-day client contact to ensure satisfaction, operational transparency, and timely issue resolution
Proactively communicate maintenance activities, performance metrics, risks, and improvement plans
Build and maintain strong, trust-based client relationships through responsiveness, professionalism, and a service-oriented approach
Support site financial performance by monitoring budget adherence, forecasting needs, and identifying cost-saving opportunities
Ensure vendor, repair, and project expenditures align with approved budgets and client expectations
Provide operational input to support P&L accountability, including labor planning, resource optimization, and control of unplanned costs
Qualification
Required
Minimum 5–7 years of experience working hands on in a Facilities Maintenance or Facilities/Building Engineer role
3+ years of experience in Leadership or Facilities Management role
Accredited technical school, military, or college certification in HVAC or Operating Engineering Technologies, or equivalent training/experience
Universal CFC certification
Advanced knowledge of Building Automation Systems, Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Lotus Notes
Strong technical and problem‑solving skills
