Platform Tester
Air Force Civilian Service is seeking a Platform Tester to modernize their User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process at Headquarters Air Force. The role involves establishing testing strategies, developing test plans, and coordinating with various teams to ensure high-quality HR solutions.

Responsibilities
Establish and guide the testing strategy for complex Human Resources (HR) systems
Design and implement a modern testing framework that ensures solutions are reliable and effective
Develop comprehensive test plans and create detailed test cases
Drive the team towards more efficient and automated testing methods
Coordinate with developers, business analysts, and end-users to ensure every release is seamless and delivers exceptional value to the HR community
Qualification
Required
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Knowledge of Development, Security, and Operations (DevSecOps) principles and processes
Knowledge of agile software development practices and procedures
Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and roles of cybersecurity professionals across Department of War (DoW) and Air Force organizations. Understands the Risk Management Framework (RMF). Understands processes used to authorize and protect systems on the Air Force Network
Working knowledge of the numerous DoW and non-DoW agency Information Technology organization structures, functions, policies, and directives as they apply to software management and cybersecurity
Knowledge of functional area applications in human resource (HR) management, concepts of personnel management, and application of information technology to the HR process
Cyberspace Qualification is a condition of employment. This position includes Cyberspace work as a paramount duty requirement. Per Department of Defense Manual (DoDM) 8140.03, para 4.2.a.(2)., requires foundational qualification requirements within 9 months of assignment to a cyberspace work role and resident qualification requirements within 12 months of assignment to a cyberspace work role. A waiver of these requirements may be granted per DoDM 8140.03. Failure to achieve and maintain the proper Cyberspace Qualification may result in removal from this position
Preferred
A degree in computer engineering, electrical/electronic engineering, mechanical engineering, or other related fields of engineering or computer sciences and mathematics, and/or is a licensed professional engineer
Extensive experience leading the testing efforts for enterprise-level software applications, preferably within the HR domain
Expertise in developing test strategies, plans, and detailed test cases
Proven track record of coordinating and modernizing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes
Possesses hands-on experience with test management tools (like JIRA, Digital Transformation (Digtrans), Azure DevOps) and are familiar with test automation concepts and tools
Skilled in identifying, analyzing, and documenting defects and working with development teams to ensure their resolution
Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) within an Agile/Scrum environment
