Director of Women's Business Center Program

Responsibilities
Serve as the strategic and operational leader for the SBA-funded Women’s Business Center
Oversee performance, compliance, sustainability, and program impact
Ensure full alignment with SBA Cooperative Agreement requirements, program directives, and performance metrics
Lead the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of high-quality business advising, training, and technical assistance programs focused on women entrepreneurs
Play a critical role in securing and managing the required non-federal match for the WBC grant through fundraising, partnerships, earned revenue, and allowable in-kind support
Represent the WBC to funders, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), community partners, and the public while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required and Minimum of five (5) years of progressive leadership experience in small business development, economic development, nonprofit management, or a related field
Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of progressive leadership experience in small business development, economic development, nonprofit management, or a related field
Preferred certification in Business Administration, Management, or related field, complemented by continuous professional development in current business practices
Demonstrated experience managing federal or state-funded grants, including compliance, reporting, budgets, and audits; direct experience with SBA programs or Cooperative Agreements strongly preferred
Proven track record of securing and managing non-federal match funding for grants, including cash and allowable in-kind contributions
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute fundraising, sponsorship, partnership, or earned-revenue strategies to meet required match obligations
Experience supervising and leading multidisciplinary teams, including hiring, performance management, and professional development
Strong financial acumen, including experience working with program budgets, allowable costs, and grant-funded expenditures
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing grant reports, funder communications, and public presentations
Ability to represent the organization professionally with funders, government agencies, community partners, and the media
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and compliance requirements simultaneously
Proficiency with data tracking systems, client management databases, and Microsoft Office or equivalent platforms
Preferred
Prior experience working with an SBA Women's Business Center or other SBA-funded resource partner program
Experience working with women-owned businesses, entrepreneurs of color, rural entrepreneurs, or other underserved populations
Familiarity with SBA reporting systems, performance metrics, and program monitoring processes
Bilingual or multilingual abilities relevant to the communities served
Experience working within a CDFI, nonprofit lending organization, or community development organization
