The Davis Companies is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team. This role involves processing invoices, maintaining financial records, and supporting daily accounting operations in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Receive, review, and verify vendor invoices for accuracy and compliance

Code invoices to the appropriate general ledger accounts

Process high-volume invoices in a timely and efficient manner

Match purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices to ensure proper documentation

Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies

Maintain accurate and organized AP records and supporting documentation

Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable

Enter and update data in spreadsheets using basic Excel functions, including formulas and data validation

Utilize Oracle (strongly preferred) or similar ERP systems to process invoices and run AP reports

Support the AP team in maintaining up-to-date financial information

Communicate with vendors regarding payment status, invoice questions, and issue resolution

Collaborate with internal departments (purchasing, receiving, accounting) to ensure the accuracy of invoice data

Required

2+ years of Accounts Payable experience required

Proficiency with Basic Excel (formulas, updating spreadsheets)

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred

Oracle experience strongly preferred; familiarity with other ERP systems a plus
