Impact Associate

Responsibilities

Develop annual program workplan in collaboration with Impact Manager, including identifying and developing programs, events, program goals, program implementation, success metrics, and project timelines
Strategize regarding participant recruitment, including identifying potential university partners and creating promotional materials to be shared with university partners, industry professionals, and others soliciting interest in programs
Maintain relationships with affordable housing industry associations and university faculty and administrative staff to facilitate recruitment of new scholars
Conduct application review process by developing application forms, gathering applicant information, and reviewing and evaluating applications in collaboration with Impact Manager
Drive and oversee mentorship component of the program by strategically recruiting industry professionals to serve as mentors, coordinating the match process, and gathering and evaluating mentor feedback
Plan in-person and virtual events, securing logistics and inviting industry partners
Provide ongoing guidance and support to participants and mentors including those relating to technical and scheduling issues
Analyze, evaluate and track participant outcomes during program and post-graduation
Oversee, in collaboration with Impact Manager, launch of alumni engagement efforts, including online networking platforms and in-person networking events
Collect feedback and success stories to inform and fuel continuous and ongoing program improvement
Evaluate and/or develop program initiatives
Direct daily program operations for C2C by independently managing scheduling, coordination, and task execution to maintain consistent progress across initiatives
Maximize tracking tools for program outcomes, impact reporting, and data evaluation. Oversee migration of impact data onto HubSpot
Analyze and evaluate outcomes and impact and evaluate and adjust goals and initiatives based upon results
Represent Merritt in statewide career development programs
Cultivate and manage relationships with C2C program partners
Facilitate increasing connectivity, knowledge sharing, and coordination between C2C programs and partners
Ideate communication strategies in collaboration with Impact Manager and Communications team to best demonstrate C2C impact
Create compelling presentation decks and program materials

Required

A bachelor's degree in education, public policy, political science, communications, sociology, urban planning, economics, psychology, social work, or related areas
2-5 years of professional experience in a relevant setting (nonprofit, education, policy, affordable housing)
Strong writing and public speaking skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with external and internal parties that are diverse in age, race, gender, and professional level
Self-motivated and strong self-starter, proactively taking initiative to make consistent progress and achieve results
Ability to prepare effective presentations
Passion for affordable housing and workforce and professional development
Ability to manage and effectively prioritize simultaneous and competing activities and demands. Exhibit excellent organizational skills and meet deadlines

Preferred

Experience and/or strong interest in affordable housing, community development, and/or career development programs
Proficiency with Canva, HubSpot, and Microsoft Office Suite
