Responsibilities
Performing a variety of non-routine assignments of moderate complexity, including various engineering tests using sophisticated and/or specialized measurement devices and test equipment
Fabricating prototype components and/or assemblies for product testing
Documenting all aspects of tests, including objectives, procedures, results, conclusions and recommendations
Compiling and computing a variety of engineering data: analyzing test and design data and preparing reports
Analyzing problems and recommending solutions; expediting prototype parts or accessories
Developing, preparing and making recommendations for schematics, designs, test procedures and/or specifications
Performing other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Ability to set up, calibrate and use sophisticated and/or specialized measurement instruments and test equipment
Understanding of a specialized technical area
Demonstrated ability to learn complex technical areas
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Ability to interpret data and create technical documents
Fluent in primary language used in the area of responsibility and/or location as well as the ability to read English
Five years of experience working with small/large engines, engine powered equipment or industry related products
Preferred
A technical mindset
Highly skilled in instrumentation
Measurement- and calibration-savvy
Detail-oriented
Analytical
Adaptable to complex systems in expertise
