Responsibilities

Manage or assist in direction of the work group to include mentoring/coaching employees, conducting performance reviews, participating in employment and disciplinary decisions, and providing associated training
Interface with internal customers to align planned and emergent work with Operational needs
Ensure the implementation, enforcement, and compliance with all company guidelines, policies and procedures
Review progress, direct changes in priorities and schedules as needed to assure work is completed in an efficient and timely manner
Responsible for evaluating bids and making suggestions to Operations
Responsible for the development and implementation of job plans and cost-effective work procedures
Responsible for developing and managing Capital and O&M yearly budget
Responsible for monthly budget reporting on involved projects and forecasting
Assist internal customers in developing annual Capital and O&M budgets, including, but not limited to, estimating potential mechanical projects
Ensures projects are completed within prescribed budgets and time constraints
Develop short and long-term plans, goals and objectives within the Mechanical Project Support organization
Identify, report and correct safety and environmental concerns
As a company representative, willingly interact with Operations, Engineering, Project Management, Gas Control, customers, suppliers, and contractors
Promote and maintain a high regard for personal safety, the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or associated studies OR at least High School diploma/GED and 10 years of mechanical maintenance field experience or pipeline operations
Must have at least 7 years of effective management or supervisory experience in gas pipeline operations, mechanical maintenance activities, or pipeline engineering
Extensive knowledge of natural gas reciprocating, turbine, and electric driven compressor units and other plant equipment
Ability to use manuals, specifications, drawings, and other resources to diagnose and correct mechanical problems
Must possess and maintain a valid driver license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers
Ability to manage multiple maintenance teams across a large region
Demonstrated intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)
Ability to recruit, develop, and retain effective team members
Ability to develop effective relationships and promote teamwork, foster open expression of ideas and opinions, provide and accept constructive feedback
Ability to foster effective relationships with Division Management, Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, Gas Control, MPS management and peers
Engage open and honest communications from your team, management, customers, and contractors

Strong analytical skills and logical thought processes, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues

This position requires manual dexterity and visual acuity, as well as the ability to lift, pull, push, and carry up to 50 lbs
Climb and work from ladders, catwalks, staging, and platforms
Ascend and descend slopes and ditches
Work in adverse weather and/or extreme temperature conditions
Travel is expected 20% - 30% of the time, interfacing with associated crews and key stakeholders
Required to carry a company-provided cell phone and be available to respond during working and non-working hours
The successful candidate will be required to clear a DOT drug screen and a complete background check after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or associated studies
Knowledge of the company procedures and government regulations relevant to pipeline operations
Knowledge and experience with high pressure gas, processing equipment, pumps and reciprocating or gas turbine engines and compressors
