SPECIALIST-COMPLIANCE TRAINING

Responsibilities

Ensure employees are trained to meet both Company and regulatory standards
Establish effective and interactive training programs and materials to support employee development and organizational enhancement
Ensure regional training completions are entered into the Learning Management System (LMS) and provide accurate training status reports to regional locations/internal customers
Assist Terminals with the development of site specific procedures and coordinate Management of Change (MOC) system entries for procedural changes
Manage each Terminal’s SharePoint portal; train contacts of each Terminal to use SharePoint correctly and routinely ensure compliance
Interact with employees at all levels (including technical working groups) as necessary, to review, discuss and resolve procedural questions, training gaps and/or inadequacies
Prepare for and participate in internal/regulatory audits. Assist with the training and implementation of related corrective actions
Participate in incident investigations to assess training and/or procedural gaps and address accordingly
Liaison between departments and internal customers for the development and modifications of operational and maintenance procedures
Lead and support new employee training for all new hires joining the Southeast Region team
Assist/coordinate external refresher training such as CPR/First Aid, HAZWOPER, SWPPP, DOT HAZMAT, HAZCOM, etc., as required

Required

3 to 5 years' combined experience in field safety compliance, reading and interpreting EHS regulations, and developing/providing regulatory training
3-5 years previous experience leading/directing industrial training
Strong computer skills and prior experience with Microsoft Office® Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams)
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record
Ability to attain a TWIC (Transportation Work Identification Credential) as issued by TSA
Successful completion and passing of company drug screen and background check
Must have excellent communication (oral and written) skills, verbally and in writing
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
Must be able to multi-task with multiple priorities and time frames
Self-motivated, driven, and solution-oriented
Comfortable speaking with small and large groups and inspiring others
Physical requirements including, but not limited to, sitting and standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing up / down ladders and stairs, negotiating uneven and moving surfaces and lifting and or carrying up to 20 LBS

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Communication, Psychology, Education, Human Resources, Safety, or a related field
Prior experience in technical writing, reviewing and training of written procedures
Knowledge of products, modes of transport and methods of handling bulk, liquid and hazardous materials
Familiarity with EPA / FRA / DOT / NFPA / OSHA requirements
Familiarity with a Learning Management System (LMS)
