Superior Essex is seeking an Electronics Technician to perform troubleshooting, repair, and installation of production and support equipment. The role involves general repair work and maintenance on electrical/electronic components, as well as preventive maintenance tasks on electronic equipment.

Responsibilities

Repairs production and spare equipment when failure is of an electrical or electronic nature, which requires the ability to do minor soldering, alignment, grinding, disassembly and reassembly of both major, minor, large and small pieces of equipment

Helps troubleshoot equipment by observing equipment operation from an electronic perspective

Designs, fabricates, assembles and installs, parts, fixtures or entire assemblies as requested by Engineering or Department managers

Initiates necessary parts request form for required electronic supplies so repairs or installations can be completed

Inspects and calibrates various pieces of production equipment and requires documentation of drawings, layouts, time sheets, work orders and cost reduction or safety proposals

High school diploma or GED equivalent with two or more years of technical training or school within the field, or equivalent education and experience
