Manager, Human Resources Business Partner - Universal Kids Resort
Universal Orlando Resort is seeking a Manager, Human Resources Business Partner to partner with operational divisions to align human resource capital with business objectives. The role involves providing guidance on employee relations, leadership development, and performance management while fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities
Provides coaching, guidance and direction to Management Team(s) to ensure fair and consistent enforcement of policies and practices. Ensures legal compliance and understanding of policies and processes. Investigates employee workplace situations (e.g., claims of harassment, discrimination, policy violations and employee conflicts)
Supports Management in leading employee engagement and ensures a positive work environment and inclusive culture. Supports Team Member Satisfaction (TSAT) efforts by assisting Management with communication and action planning. Works with Management to identify and manage the employee impact of company decisions and changes
Provides advice and consultation for Team Members on policy interpretation, EAP issues, accommodation inquiries, employee workplace concerns, and other related HR topics. Provides support to Team Members by interacting and communicating with Team Members across the resort, visiting break rooms and offices to promote positive relations and seek out potential issues
Acts as a liaison between Management and core HR by assisting with programs or communicating information relating to payroll, benefits, training, compensation and staffing
Mentors and provides guidance to staff related to their career goals. Motivates staff to accomplish company goals. Builds bench strength across the resort by supporting Talent Review and identifying development opportunities
Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Extensive knowledge of applicable state and federal employment and labor laws and governmental compliance requirements
Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to earn trust and work successfully on a wide range of Team Member and labor relations issues
Strong facilitation, influencing and conflict resolution skills
Experience interpreting state and federal laws and regulations governing the provision of fair employment for persons with disabilities including FMLA, FEHA, USERRA, and ADA
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and progressive disciplinary documents
Ability to effectively present information and respond quickly to questions from groups of managers, clients, and outside stakeholders
Ability to review and interpret various forms of supporting medical or clinical documentation provided to accompany requests for accommodation is a plus
Consistent attendance is a job requirement
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology or Management required
5+ years in Human Resources with progressive Employee Relations experience, including significant experience conducting investigations required
3+ years supervisory experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred
Knowledge of accommodations and disability principles highly preferred
