Procurement Specialist

Trewon Technologies is a competitive firm providing enterprise-wide solutions to federal clients. Trewon is seeking a Procurement Specialist to support their Federal Government client on a part-time basis, performing various tasks and analyses throughout the acquisitions process and advising government managers on related topics.

Responsibilities

Assists with drafting statements of work and independent government cost estimates
Assists with market research, data analysis, and technical evaluation
Reviews planned orders, creates requisitions for purchased items and supports the approval process
Oversees approved purchase orders and provides supporting documents to supplier
Tracks order acknowledgement; confirms lead times, delivery dates, and costs; and communicates with the program office on any discrepancies or disruptions
Reviews and tracks purchase orders until they are closed
Reviews orders to confirm that they adhere to supplier agreements and contracts, and reports nonconformance
Reviews invoices to confirm delivery of goods and assists with invoicing discrepancies
Identifies opportunities and recommends actions to achieve efficiencies
Evaluates supplier’s capacity to perform and comply and makes recommendations to management concerning products and services and available sources of supply
Assists COR with eFiling requirements

Qualification

Required

A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in Federal Acquisitions
Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft applications (MS Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, and Outlook)
Must be highly organized and have excellent oral and written communication skills to interface with personnel and other government agencies at all levels
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Knowledge of office policies, practices, and procedures
Experience in acquisitions or supply chain fields
Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and other procurement statutes, policies, and procedures
Must demonstrate the ability to apply analytical skills to procurement issues
Must maintain professional competence and specialized knowledge base by keeping abreast of emerging themes and best practices

Preferred

BS/BA or higher - applicable major preferred
