Research Technician II -Molecular Biology
Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a Research Technician II to assist with routine nutritional and epigenetics research work. The role involves maintaining mouse colonies, preparing biological specimens, and conducting laboratory experiments related to molecular biology.

Responsibilities
Conducts epigenetic research using in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo models
Assists with routine nutritional and epigenetics research work
Maintains mouse lines in animal facilities that includes breeding and recording
Prepares buffers and dilutions for laboratory use
Prepares and conducts laboratory research experiments including PCR
Collects and documents cell and tissue samples for molecular analysis
Orders laboratory supplies and equipment
Performs other laboratory routine research that includes DNA methylation and gene expression analysis
Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement
No experience required
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and throughout the duration of employment
Preferred
Knowledge in molecular biology or a closely related field
Experiences with PCR, mouse models, and/or studies of microbiology are desirable
