IT Supervisor - Document Management

Responsibilities
Leads individuals and teams, builds and maintains engagement, and nurtures a culture of growth to promote a work environment where every employee can reach their full potential
Manages the team providing centralized printing and processing for departments county-wide
Understands and stays current on USPS guidelines and regulations. Also understands and stays current on processes for UPS, FedEx, and other shipping vendors
Recommends hiring, promotions, and assignments for team members, and provides regular and timely feedback. Manages employee performance, documentation, and disciplinary actions
Manages County Digitization Improvement: Initiates practices to ensure project consistency, compliance, and cost effectiveness. Ensures project deliverables are met, forecasts projects, allocates project resources, establishes project metrics and is involved in final review of all projects for continuous improvement
Manages the imaging project portfolio. Works closely with County Departments and supervisory staff to identify and prioritize projects that drive improvement across all areas of the business. Establishes project and process performance improvement methodologies
Assists in the design and implementation of projects in coordination with the ITS leadership team; coordinates work with other functions within ITS to facilitate teamwork and provide outstanding customer service
Develops feasibility, cost justification, and cost effectiveness studies for hardware and software within the team and ITS department. Develops requests for proposals with evaluation and selection criteria, analyzes vendor responses, and recommends best alternative
Researches and stays current with new methodologies and technologies within area of the digitalization technology
Performs related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, business administration or related field and three (3) years of experience in a similar position as listed in the work functions with two (2) of those years in a supervisory or lead role
A combination of education and experience equivalent to seven (7) year of experience in a similar position as listed in the work functions with two (2) of those years in a supervisory or lead role
Regular and reliable attendance is a necessary component of job/position
Individuals required to use County vehicles and equipment must have a valid driver's license and be free of any major traffic violations for the last three (3) years
Skill and understanding of USPS guidelines and regulations in a business setting including presort, bulk, and priority mail requirements
Skill and understanding of processes for UPS, FedEx, and other shipping vendors
Skill in analytical thinking and problem solving
Skill in customer service and developing business relationships across multiple agencies
Skill in organization and activity coordination
Skill in teamwork, interpersonal interaction and people management
Skill in professional verbal and written communications
Skill in the analysis and design of manual and automated processes
Skill in planning, organizing and, as a team member, accomplishing work in a timely and effective manner
Ability to manage projects in an information technology environment
Ability to analyze business requirements, develop effective solutions and supervise implementation of solutions
Ability to train, supervise and foster the professional development of others
Ability to create and effectively utilize detailed work plans
