Responsibilities
Serve as the plant subject matter expert for all industrial paint, coatings, and plating processes
Determine the proper coating method for any part or material, including complex shapes and surfaces
Develop, improve, and troubleshoot industrial coating and plating processes on the production floor
Support manufacturing with hands-on problem solving and root cause analysis for coating-related issues
Create and maintain process documentation and work instructions
Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing to ensure coating quality and consistency
Qualification
Required
Acts as a coatings expert, with a strong understanding of pretreatments, primers, and topcoats, including when and why each is used
Possesses working knowledge of chemical resistant coatings (CRC) and their proper application
Demonstrates a solid understanding of industrial plating processes, recognizing the strict and highly controlled nature of these operations
