Implement Kafka topics for asynchronous events ensure schema governance and backward compatibility via BFFadapter layers

Qualification
Required
Core Java 8+
Spring Boot
Spring MVC/WebFlux
REST APIs

JPA/Hibernate
SQL/NoSQL
Strong hands-on with HCL Commerce/IBM WCS 7/8/9 including Catalog, Order, Member, Payment, Solr and customizations/extensions
Integration with Kafka, API gateways, messaging patterns, GraphQL exposure for BFF layers, caching (Redis), search integration (e.g., Solr/Coveo)
Unit/integration/contract testing, performance profiling, observability (Actuator, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry), resilience patterns
Agile/Scrum ways of working, backlog refinement, code reviews, secure coding, ability to lead development and collaborate with offshore teams
Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science or related field
10 years in Java/wider JVM ecosystem
7 years in ECommerce (WCS/HCL Commerce)
Proven delivery of microservices-based ECommerce modernization programs
Preferred
Partner with React teams on GraphQL schemas and API design, support PLP/DSL browse, PDP flows migration from WCS to microservices
Frontend React/Next.js fundamentals, GraphQL client/server collaboration, SEO/performance for browse/PDP/PLS
Cloud DevOps (Docker, Kubernetes, CICD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, API Gateway/Ingress, cloud services AWS/Azure/GCP)
