Responsibilities

Executes comprehensive AI governance framework that aligns with organizational goals, ethical principles, and regulatory requirements

Translates high-level AI-specific policies and strategies into actionable processes, guidelines, and operational workflows within the organization. Addresses data governance, bias mitigation, transparency, accountability, and risk management

Monitors and conducts AI risk assessments to identify potential ethical, legal, and societal risks associated with AI applications. Reports on findings to senior leadership and the VP of AI Governance

Implements the AI ethics guidelines for the organization including for models developed by the organization or third parties on which the organization relies

Performs project level risk analysis to determine success criteria or identify risks for model development outcomes

Develops and implements AI training and awareness programs for employees and stakeholders on AI governance principles, ethical considerations, and best practices

Manages a team of AI professionals to ensure consistent application of AI governance standards across the organization

Advocates for the understanding of human reactions and behaviors, for those working with AI, adjacent to AI, or receiving an output from AI as part of overall AI ethics

Promotes AI literacy across the organization, fostering a shared understanding of AI's impact and facilitating smooth adoption

Monitors and evaluates the performance and impact of AI systems on the organization and its stakeholders

Establishes metrics and benchmarks to assess the effectiveness of AI governance controls and identify areas for improvement

Performs other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Law, or Healthcare Management

7+ years leadership experience in related field

Experience with and deep understanding of AI governance frameworks, ethical principles, and best practices

Strong knowledge of the healthcare industry, including relevant regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and ethical considerations

Proven ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with AI technologies

Preferred

Experience In Developing And Implementing AI Compliance Programs

Experience with AI model development and deployment

Knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices
