Technical Project Manager
Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Technical Project Manager to manage their client IT project portfolio. The role involves tracking project health, conducting portfolio reviews, and providing support to project leads.
Responsibilities
Identify problem trends and create alerts for project managers and solution managers to inform them of latest risks or issues with their projects and portfolios
Train project leads and solution managers on our processes, tools, and best practices
Conduct monthly portfolio reviews with Client IT VP, solution managers, and project leads to examine projects at risk, facilitate project-data-based strategic decisions, and create mitigation plans
Provide one-on-one support for project leads managing critical projects/programs
Updating project budget, actuals and forecast for IT funded projects
Following up on action items from Portfolio Reviews
Meet with each Solution group every month to review their understanding of the Project Governance standards and address any issues that may prevent their alignment
Hold monthly office hours to train, educate and support Project Leads
Qualification
Required
Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident
Must live within a drivable distance of either Juno Beach, FL or Palm Beach Gardens, FL for 100% onsite, one-year contract
5 years minimum of project/program management experience
Education: Associate degree in engineering, Project Management, Land Surveying, or a related field is required
Preferred
PMP certification preferred
