EAP Program Supervisor

City of New York is responsible for labor relations and employee assistance programs. They are seeking an EAP Program Supervisor to oversee the EAP staff, provide clinical supervision, and develop programs to support the mental and emotional well-being of city employees.

Responsibilities

Initial and continuous needs assessment of EAP staff
Clinical Supervision of EAP Counselors
Weekly meetings with each counselor
Monthly clinical meetings with All EAP Counselors
Chart reviews
Annual evaluations
Providing direct services to clients
Program Development based on needs assessments
Developing educational and marketing materials to promote the program
Consulting with senior staff to assess the ongoing needs of the staff
Organize community resources to address the issues that are impacting city government employees
Staffing/scheduling of services
Report directly to EAP Deputy Director of Clinical Services

Required

A master's degree from an accredited college or university with a specialization in an appropriate field of physical, biological or environmental science or in public health
A doctorate degree from an accredited college or university with specialization in an appropriate field of physical, biological, environmental or social science and one year of full-time experience in a responsible supervisory, administrative or research capacity in the appropriate field of specialization
A master's degree from an accredited college or university with specialization in an appropriate field of physical, biological, environmental or social science and three years of responsible full-time research experience in the appropriate field of specialization
Education and/or experience which is equivalent to '1' or '2' above. However, all candidates must have at least a master's degree in an appropriate field of specialization and at least two years of experience described in '2' above
Two years as a City Research Scientist Level I can be substituted for the experience required in '1' and '2' above
Ability to work two 11am-7pm shifts

Preferred

Experience in trauma work, substance use treatment, crisis-intervention and group work
Public speaking, presentation and workshop development and execution
3 or more years of post-graduate experience in a mental health field
Familiarity of NYC agencies and employee populations
