Regional Director - Business Development

This role involves developing strategies to drive performance and compliance while managing a team of Business Development Directors or Managers to increase referrals and business opportunities.

Responsibilities

Grow lines of service through management of assigned Teams by developing and retaining referrals from physicians and other key non-physician referral sources
Positively represent facilities and Acadia in the behavioral health community by cultivating relationships to attract business opportunities and foster strategic partnerships
Collaborate closely with hospital discharge planners, social workers, case managers, physicians, management and provide education to staff to generate referral sources
Ensure the team is utilizing weekly strategies to meet/exceed inpatient ADC, admission, payer mix and new revenue goals along with increasing referrals
Ensure focus accounts are targeted throughout the week with follow-ups for all service recovery and payor mix initiatives
Regional DBD has an assigned account list for each facility (team expectations)
Quarterly ride-along with all Reps, Mangers, DBDs with documentation of strengths/weaknesses and training opportunities. Identify and execute training needs based on ride-along performance
Ensure referral priorities are identified in line with the vision and strategic goals of each facility and attend potential top account meetings
Develop and implement a comprehensive internal and external marketing plan that would increase revenues and profits for facility in coordination with facility DBDs
To include new contract and MOA opportunities and steps towards achieving these partnerships
Collaborate with division and/or market physician services, facility leaders, medical staff leadership to develop sales and retention strategies for facility services
Provide staff management to include hiring, development, training, performance management and communication to ensure effective and efficient department operation
Utilize payor data and income per capita in surrounding areas of each facility to identify catchment area and priority counties to increase payor mix
Provide guidance, training and support to the BD department identifying strengths and weaknesses while making recommendations to improve performance
Participate in & continuous development of new programs to market to the healthcare community along with branding
Proactively monitor marketing salesforce data base
Perform other functions and tasks as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in relevant field required
Five or more years' experience driving business results in a healthcare role; preferably in behavioral health
Proven ability to build relationships, lead, manage and drive business results through others
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, maintain automobile insurance coverage

Preferred

Master's degree in business, social services or education preferred
