Commissary Implementation & Training Specialist
Combined Public Communications is seeking a Commissary Implementation & Training Specialist who plays a critical role in supporting, deploying, and training CPC commissary systems at jails and detention facilities. The role involves technical implementation, system support, and on-site training to ensure successful installations and ongoing customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
Travel to newly signed and existing facilities to facilitate smooth commissary transitions and system implementations
Conduct pre-install meetings with facility staff to review requirements, timelines, and training needs
Deliver on-site and remote training for facility staff on commissary systems, kiosks, and related equipment
Develop and maintain training strategies, materials, and initiatives for both new installs and system updates
Communicate training schedules, expectations, and materials ahead of installation weeks
Provide ongoing support and training as systems evolve or new features are introduced
Maintain strong working relationships with facility personnel to assist with issues and ensure long-term success
Coordinate and monitor installation schedules, training timelines, and equipment readiness
Collaborate with trainers, managers, leadership, and internal teams to ensure alignment and execution
Communicate system changes, updates, and best practices to the customer base
Assist facilities with balancing commissary accounts (accounting knowledge preferred; training provided)
Deploy, configure, and maintain commissary-related server-based applications, hardware systems, Booking Kiosks, and Jail ATMs
Support system integrations, including software updates, data migrations, and compatibility verification
Perform basic network troubleshooting, including IP configuration, firewall checks, and connectivity validation
Troubleshoot and support SQL-based systems (SQLite, MySQL, or similar)
Utilize ticketing systems (e.g., Salesforce) to track, prioritize, and document technical issues
Create and maintain technical documentation, configuration guides, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Qualification
Required
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple installs and timelines simultaneously
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with facility staff and internal teams
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
Ability to travel approximately 25%–75% of the time
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and related software tools
Must be punctual, dependable, and deadline-driven
Must have no felony convictions and pass a background check
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Must possess a valid driver's license
