Mechanical Engineering Intern
Carpenter Technology Corporation is seeking a Summer 2026 Mechanical Engineering Intern. The role involves assisting a team of engineers in developing and installing a mag testing device, conducting root cause analysis, and engaging in 3D modeling and printing of components.

Responsibilities
Assisting team of 3 engineers to develop/install a mag testing device for testing of drill collars
Drawing development and 3D printing of various components
Research and present Machine reliability data analysis to target prominent failure modes
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program majoring in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
Candidates must have experience with AutoCAD/SolidWorks
Ideal candidates will have experience with building things and have a positive attitude
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Willing and able to work on-site at our Athens, AL location
Applicants MUST be US Citizens or Green Card Holders due to Carpenter's government contracts
